Bilingualism and stuttering

What

In this study, we investigate how attention processes contribute to speech disfluencies in bilingual children who do and do not stutter.

Who

Bilingual children who speak Dutch and Turkish, Arabic, English, French, or German, aged between 7 and 12 years, with or without a diagnosis of stuttering, and without any other language, speech, or neurological disorders.

When

The study consists of a total of two sessions, each lasting approximately 90 minutes, scheduled at your convenience.

Where

The sessions can take place at Ghent University Hospital, at your child’s school, or at your home.
